GETTING TO KILKENNY

Car rental: The drive to Kilkenny isn't too challenging, even on the left side of the road. There is plenty of parking both at Mount Juliet and the River Court Hotel.

Train: Irish Rail runs to Kilkenny and Thomastown (the stop for Mount Juliet) from Heuston Station in Dublin.

To get from Thomastown to Mount Juliet you will need to arrange a taxi in advance. Mount Juliet works with Nore Taxi and Limousines and they can be reached at +353 56 780 0054 once you have your train ticket booked.

If staying at the River Court Hotel or in Kilkenny, you will use the Kilkenny (MacDonagh) station. It it a 12 minute walk from the station to the center of town.

Private Transfer: You of course can also hire a car service to take you to Kilkenny. Many tourists (myself included) have used private cars to see the country. There are lots of options available, and you can even include tourist stops if desired (historical sites, distilleries, etc). VISITING DUBLIN

Should you decide to visit Dublin the days before or after the wedding, we wanted to provide some hotel options in good areas of the city. We would suggest booking as early as possible as Dublin hotels tend to get very full and expensive over the summer months.

5 Star: The Merrion (Colleen's favorite hotel in Dublin), The Dylan, The Conrad, The Shelbourne

4 Star: The Dublin Hilton, NYX, Wilder Townhouse, Number 31, The Green

We are happy to talk to anyone about their travel plans and the best areas to stay in Dublin. Spoiler: you should avoid Temple Bar.
